1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Table Format Converter service ("Service") provided by Durandal GmbH ("Durandal", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. You may not use the Service if you are a direct competitor of Durandal.
2. Description of Service
The Service is a free, web-based utility that converts tabular data between formats. No sign-up or user account is required.
- No Persistent Storage: Uploaded data is processed in memory and discarded once conversion is complete. We do not retain the original or converted files beyond what is technically necessary to provide the Service.
- No Fees: The Service is offered at no monetary cost.
3. Permitted Use
You may use the Service solely for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation;
- Upload or process content that infringes the intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of any party;
- Introduce malware or otherwise interfere with the Service or its underlying infrastructure;
- Use automated scripts or other means to overload, scrape, or access the Service in a manner that exceeds normal human use;
- Misrepresent the origin or ownership of content you submit.
4. Intellectual-Property Rights & Transformed Content
- Your Data: You retain all rights to the data you submit. Converting your data does not transfer ownership to us.
- License to Process: You grant Durandal a temporary, non-exclusive license to process your data solely for the purpose of performing the requested conversion.
- Service IP: All software, branding, and other materials provided by Durandal remain our exclusive property and are protected by applicable laws. You may not reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the Service itself.
5. Privacy
Because the Service does not require accounts or store data, we collect minimal information—primarily transient technical logs (e.g., IP address, timestamp, conversion type) used for security and performance monitoring. These logs are generally overwritten within 30 days unless needed to investigate abuse or comply with legal processes. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "ASÂ IS" and "ASÂ AVAILABLE." Durandal makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. You assume all risk for any loss or damage that results from your use of the Service.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Durandal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or in connection with the Service—even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Durandal and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against all third-party claims and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.
9. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service—or amend these Terms—at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Version" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or are abusing the Service. Sections that, by their nature, should survive termination (including Sections 4, 6, 7, and 8) shall remain in force.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Basel-Stadt, Switzerland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service.
